Financial Guidance Without the Sales Pitch
For people who are:
-
Tired of feeling ashamed about money
-
Overwhelmed by debt, bad credit, or zero savings
-
Suspicious of "financial advisors" who just want to sell you something
-
Ready to stop surviving the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle
Judgement-free coaching. Real world strategies. No products sold.
$150 / hour | Virtual or in-person sessions | Monthly or Quarterly Check-Ins
You're Not Broken
Let me guess what you're feeling:
"I'm embarrassed. I don't have this figured out at my age.
Financial education isn't taught in most schools. You can't magically know this stuff.
"I make decent money but somehow I'm always broke."
64% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, including high earners. This is about systems and habits, not intelligence.
"Every 'expert' just wants to sell me something I can't afford."
Most "financial advisors" only work with people who already have money to invest. That's not me, and it's not who I serve.
"My credit is so bad I don't think I can ever fix it"
I've worked with people who had credit scores in the 500s and $80K+ in debt.
Credit can be rebuilt. Always.
"I've tried budgeting apps and they don't work."
Because apps don't address the emotional and behavioral side of money. Humans do.
The financial services industry is designed to confuse you, shame you, and sell you products you don't need.
We're here to do the opposite.

What Makes Us Different
I spent 15 years in financial services - seven of them leading workplace financial wellness programs at a large credit union, where I helped thousands of people improve their financial lives.
Here's what I learned: People don't need lectures condemning coffee and avocado toast. They need:
Someone who listens without judgment
Practical strategies for their ACTUAL situation (not generic advice)
Accountability and encouragement
Expertise without conflicts of interest
What I DON'T Do
Sell investment products or insurance
Earn commissions on anything I recommend
Judge your past financial decisions
Give you a generic template and send you on your way
What I DO
Meet you where you are (even if that's "I have $63 in savings")
Create a personalized plan based on YOUR priorities
Teach you the skills to manage money confidently
Check in regularly to keep you accountable and adjust as life changes
Celebrate your wins (no matter how small they seem)
I'm not a salesperson. I'm a coach.
There's a big difference.
What We Can Tackle Together

We'll create ways to track your spending that work for YOU, identify leaks, and create a realistic budget or spending plan that doesn't feel like you cannot have fun.
"I Don't Know Where My Money Goes"

We'll create a strategic payoff plan using methods that actually work and find other ways to free up cash.
"My credit card debt is crushing me, and I don't see a way out."

There is a strategy and science to building credit. We'll work together to understand where you are and where you want to be, then create a plan with easy action steps to get started.
"I know I need to build credit, but I'm scared to use things like loans and credit cards."

Buying a home can be stressful, especially if you're not familiar with the process. We'll work together to educate you on the process and the financial hurdles you'll need to clear ahead of time.
"I want to buy a home, but I don't know where to start and terrified of making a mistake."

We'll start small (even $250 can make a difference). Then we'll focus on better habits, savings automation, and building a bigger buffer over time.
"I have no emergency savings, and one care repair would destroy me."

We'll pull your credit reports together, dispute errors, create a rebuilding plan, and get you where you want to be.
"My credit score is terrible, and I don't know have to fix it.

Investing is all about the long-term. We'll work together to understand your risk tolerance, and the different strategies you can use to begin building wealth.
"I have no idea how to build wealth or start investing."

Life happens. The main point is knowing how to recover. We'll triage the immediate issues, create an immediate recovery plan, and then work with you to adequately recover from life's curveballs.
"I just went through a major life change, and my finances are a disaster."

Questions I Hear from Potential Clients

Choosing a financial coach can feel daunting, not only deciding to work with one to begin with, but then finding the right coach for you. Here are some frequently asked questions that will give you an opportunity to get to know me and understand my approach and process to coaching.
Q1
Can you just tell me what to do?
I could, but it wouldn't stick. My job is to teach you the skills, perspective, and thinking so you can make confident decisions long after we stop working together. I'm not here to create dependency; I'm helping you build your capability.
Q3
Do I need to have my finances organized before our first session?
Absolutely not. Show up however you are. We'll figure it out together. No judgement if your files are a mess or if you don't have any files; that's exactly why people hire me.
Q5
What if I can't afford your fee right now?
I get it. It's hard to take on another expense when money is tight. Here's a few easy steps to get started:
-
Start with the free 30-minute introduction call to get some initial direction.
-
Signup for my newsletter to get regular money tips to your inbox.
-
Use the free resources I have on my website and blog.
-
Check what resources your employer may have through their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and other benefits, or introduce me to your HR team to explore a partnership.
Q7
What if I've tried budgeting before and failed?
That's perfectly fine. We'll work together to understand the WHY and try a different approach. There are a wide variety of budgeting strategies that people use. You may have not found the right one that works for you yet. We'll figure out one that fits YOUR brain, YOUR schedule, and YOUR life. It's all about figuring out what works best for YOU.
Q2
Is this like therapy?
There's definitely an emotional aspect to money, and we'll talk about that. But I'm not a therapist - I'm a coach with financial expertise. If you have deeper mental health issues around money, I can refer you to therapists who specialize in financial psychology.
Q4
Will you manage my money for me?
No. I don't take control of your accounts or make transactions for you. You stay in the driver's seat. I am merely the GPS and your cheerleader.
Q6
How long until I see results?
Most clients will start seeing results by the second or third session, but it depends on your goals and how quickly you act on the recommendations and guidance from our sessions. Clients with smaller goals typically see results faster than clients with larger goals, but that comes with the territory. Whatever your goals are, we'll set realistic timelines together so you don't lose momentum.
Q8
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you need depend entirely on your goals and how aggressively you want to tackle those goals. For "smaller" goals, anywhere from 2 to 3 sessions up to possibly 12. For larger or bigger goals, like paying off debt or repairing credit, a minimum of 6 sessions up to 18 or 24 is pretty common.
